Due to the changes in COVID-19 lockdown for everyone in the UK. We have had to cancel the planned concert for Saturday 23rd January 2021, with full refunds being given to all those who had paid and purchased tickets.
The management of the orchestra are keeping everything under review and look forward to be able to resume our popular concerts when the restrictions are lifted.

concert meaning every person attending will be tested on arrival, with a
register of those attending, to comply with secure venue checks.
This Christmas Classical Extravaganza Concert will take place at Allum House & Hall commencing at 7.30pm, see above poster.
The programme which is oven ready, world beating, gold standard as well as COVID secure is being presented to allow residents of the town to bring some Christmas cheer this year.

As I am sure you can understand anyone who has a temperature of over 37.5C will be refused entry. There will be strict guidance on how to enter and leave the building. A one-way will be in operation with an in and out route of the premises. Signage will be provide giving guidance on the routes they audience should follow, with hand sanitizers located throughout the hall, and a track and trace system in place for all to complete on arrival.

The Elstree Mozart Players, in conjunction with the Rotary Club of the Studios of Elstree and Borehamwood, have been in talks with Alum Hall & Manor House about the potential for holding a ‘socially distance’ concert on Saturday 14th November 2020.
As you can understand given the difficult times, we are all
facing it has been exceedingly difficult to plan anything.
Given the recent speech by the Prime Minister on Tuesday the
22nd September, and advice received from the Department of Culture
Media and Sport, which was clarified that given the current rules we are still allowed
to hold a small concerts in a COVID-19 secure venues.
The orchestra, therefore, is continuing to plan for the
concert on Saturday 14th November Elstree Mozart Players a concert
lead by Lucy Cumming, conducted by Derek Holland to include a programme of
music by Rossini, Bottesini, Vivaldi, Elgar, Mozart, Binge, Haydn

Given the extent of the Corona-virus (COVID-19) outbreak across the world, and the government ceasing all gatherings and closure of theatre’s and bars all of the events in June have been postponed to be rescheduling at a later date
Elstree Mozart Players lead by Lucy Cumming, conducted by Derek Holland performed a wonderfully concert at All Saints Church in Borehamwood on Saturday 29th February 2020.
This Concert featured ‘Vivaldi’s Gloria’ plus ‘Zadok the Priest’. The programme also includes Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto and Tchaikovsky’s Rocco Variations.
Soloists for the evening were internationally renowned soprano Janice Watson and Barbara Shapiro.
The concert also featured
Alisa Franklin on Cello performing Tchaikovsky Rococo Variations plus
Stephen Randall performing Clarinet Mozart Clarinet Concerto.
The audience, in excess of 85 packed in to the church for a wonderful evening of live music raising funds for the ‘Dementia Club of Elstree & Borehamwood’.
The orchestra consisting of 42 local musicians and a choir of around 50 drawn from across Hertsmere.
The concert, which has been organised in conjunction with Rev. Tim Warr, Vicar of All Saints Church who welcomed everyone to the church at the beginning of the evening.
Cllr Victor Eni, deputising for the town mayor, presented two bouquets of flowes to Janice Watson and Barbara Shapiro at the conclusion of the evening.
The first concert in our 2020 season is on Saturday 29th February
2020 and is a ‘Scratch Choral Concert’.

The Studios Rotary Club of Elstree and Borehamwood were proud to present the second Classical Extravaganza Concert featuring Elstree Mozart Players and Soprano Janice Watson. The orchestra consisting of 70 plus local musicians, plus world renowned Soprano, Janice Watson, gave a concert that could have graced the Royal Festival Hall. With financial support from Cllr. Morris Bright and Cllr. Caroline Clapper the Extravaganza concert was well attended, with the funding support received enabled us to keep costs very low, making it affordable for many in the community.

Saturday 25th January 2020 ‘A Year in Photographs Coffee Morning’
Members of the orchestra will be performing at Elstree & Borehamwood Town Council’s coffee morning. The event entitled ‘A Year in Photographs’ will be held at All Saints Church, between 11- 3pm. This will also provide an exhibition by local community organisations to present a review of their year recorded in photos being very popular.
Saturday 29th February 2020 ‘Scratch Choral Concert’ All Saints Church,
Featuring ‘Vivaldi’s Gloria’ plus ‘Zadok the Priest’. This concert is the second ‘scratch concert’ and it is envisaged to raise money for a worthwhile local charity Last year’s performance was The Messiah an orchestra of 42 local musicians and choir of 60 from across Hertsmere. It was great to see that this enthused a cross section of the community to take part, crossing barriers of age, gender race and religion, celebrating music as a performing art.
Wednesday 1st April 2020 ‘Mayors Charity Fundraising Event’
A group from the orchestra will present a cabaret dinner at 7.30pm at Fairway Hall. Janice Watson, and Bader Big Band a band made up of pro musicians with amputations and hidden disabilities will also be involved raising funds for Elstree & Borehamwood Mayors Charity 2019-20, The Peace Hospice.
Sunday 14th June 2020 – Civic Festival Concert
The orchestra will present a summer concert, as part of Elstree and Borehamwood Town Council’s ‘Civic Festival’, in All Saints Church, Shenley Road
